Looking for PAID accounting experience while spending a summer at the beach? We are now accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Accounting Internship. Expected time frame is Mid-May to Mid-August 2026
Our Accounting Intern will gain exposure to daily activities, such as performing or assisting with audits or answering first-level accounting questions. You may also be assisting in billing, maintaining records, keeping licensing and registrations up to date, handling office deposits, managing company credit cards and other related records. You will learn to use the company's business accounting software, and work with our fast-paced accounting team.
Accounting Intern Duties and Responsibilities - Assist with day-to-day operations of the accounting department
- Tracking merchandise invoice due dates and discounts dates to coordinate inventory processing, matching or inventory invoices, and cash flow management
- Data entry of merchandise and operations invoices in general ledger
- Pull supporting documentation weekly for all invoices payable, confirm amounts due and due dates with A/P ledger
- Maintain spreadsheet of revenues collected on behalf of other adventure recreation companies, related commissions, and payouts
- Processing daily sales records
- Filing, shredding, and labeling bank deposit bags
- Assist in receiving inventory or retail, when necessary, as well as events such as kite festival or watermelon festival
- Other spreadsheet projects and journal entry posting under the direction of the CFO
- Projects as assigned
- Assist with other departments as needed when assigned
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience - Current enrollment in a college program focusing on accounting or related field
- 0 - 2 years of related accounting experience, customer service experience, communications, social media, or office experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Advanced in Excel

Working Conditions - The work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment. Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company's in-season time period
- May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations
Physical Requirements Time may be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Sometime will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Sometime will be spent using one's hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talking or hearing. Need to be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
